# Own index for ES

Hello. I need create own index for ES, but i can’t undertand why my config is wrong. I recieve error:

> Unable to create file based dynamic config client, use no-op config client instead.",“error”:"failed to decode dynamic config yaml: unmarshal errors:\n line 38: cannot unmarshal !!map into dynamicconfig.constrainedValue

My full config

The section above should go to regular [config](https://github.com/temporalio/temporal/blob/master/config/development_es.yaml#L1) not dynamic [config](https://github.com/temporalio/temporal/blob/master/config/dynamicconfig/development_es.yaml).

Can I do it vie environment variable?  
I tried to set “ES\_VIS\_INDEX = my\_own\_index\_name” in my docker container but ES index was still the default

Yes, `ES_VIS_INDEX` should work. How do you set it? The way it works is via [dockerize](https://github.com/temporalio/temporal/blob/master/docker/entrypoint.sh#L15) which use environment variables to generates config from [template](https://github.com/temporalio/temporal/blob/master/docker/config_template.yaml#L145).

So if you set it outside of docker container (command line or [docker-compose file](https://github.com/temporalio/docker-compose/blob/main/docker-compose-cas-es.yml#L34)) and use default Temporal server docker [image](https://hub.docker.com/repository/docker/temporalio/server), it should be applied.
