# Trying to expose frontend service on GKE

I have deployed a temporal cluster using helm charts, I am trying to expose frontend service through GKE ingress, so that its available outside the cluster. By default the ingress creates a L7 loadbalancer in GKE.  
Somehow the healthchecks are failing. Can someone give me the end to end flow??

Should i use 7233 or 443 in the loadbalancer, also will it be https or http2?

For the ingress, port 443, and needs to be grpc (http/2). Take a look at forum posts [here](https://community.temporal.io/t/struggling-to-get-ingress-working-for-frontend-grpc-service/4018) and [here](https://community.temporal.io/t/getting-502-bad-gateway-errors-when-setting-up-mtls-for-temporal-client/4060) for more info (they are for eks but hopefully useful).

We don’t have a specific guide for this for GKE that I am aware of but there are some blogs like [this one](https://joachim8675309.medium.com/gke-with-grpc-and-ingress-nginx-644730915677) that could be helpful as well.
