Back-of-the-envelop formula for activities vs aws costs

Hi!

I’m wondering if there’s any approximate formula for activities triggered per minute vs cloud costs running temporal cluster. Can someone help me with this?

I don’t think there is a formula. The ballpark is that the cloud is cheaper or on par with self-hosted infra at any reasonable scale. However, the cloud is always much cheaper if you consider humans who need to maintain the self-hosted clusters. Don’t forget the SLAs and support that come with the cloud.
