Guidance on numHistoryShards

Hello

I’ve gone through most of the forum posts, and docs… but I can’t find any clear guidance on what should be a way to select numHistoryShards value. For something that cannot be changed after the cluster is started, I feel it is rather important to have some guidance on how to select an appropriate value, and what are the repercussions of it being too low or high etc.

Would appreciate a some pointers or where to look to understand this better.

Thanks @samar, that helps. Funny thing is, I kept googling around with the keyword “numHistoryShards” in my query, and that is never mentioned in this post!
