Rollback to 1.17.4 post upgrade to 1.18.1

Hi,

Whilst upgrading to 1.18.1, we are executing the upgrade script on ESV7 which adds the new attribute to the index. Is it possible to rollback to 1.17.4 after we have upgraded to 1.18.1 and we notice few issues. Can the elastic search index remain with the added new added attribute and server/admintools image be rooled back to 1.17.4

Yes this should be ok, older schemas work with the latest schema updates (unless there are clear compatibility breaks mentioned in the release notes).
