I’ve seen a few posts asking about use of the Cosmos DB Cassandra API with Temporal. My cursory glance over the compatibility documentation turned up at least one point where Temporal isn’t compatible: use of logged batches (Cosmos DB suports unlogged only). I’m sure there are others.
Can first-class support of Cosmos DB be on the roadmap?
We don’t have any immediate plans to support Cosmos DB at this point.
Are there any known issues with Azure Cosmos? I see questions in this forum from people who are apparently using it, and I haven’t found a definite reason not to use it (aside from lack of official support).
The temporal team never tested Azure Cosmos as we don’t have the bandwidth to support it at this point.
I would love to hear testimonials from open source users that tried it.
